Design studio and workshop with space for inspiring workshops

https _s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws_edited.jpg

Parkland is, at its core, our design studio, sewing workshop, and workshop. We specialize in the design and creation of small-scale architecture and glamping domes. Driven by our passion for craftsmanship, culture, and sustainability, we also offer a unique setting where companies and organizations can creatively explore and sustainably transform their corporate culture. With craft-based workshops, we can organize customized workshops in a natural and tranquil setting.

An artisanal and relaxing experience

Our approach is professional yet relaxed. In our carefully crafted, natural environment, teams can work on growth, collaboration, and sustainability. We design customized workshops, focusing on your needs and goals. The day is balanced between intensive sessions and relaxed moments, such as cooking together with ingredients from the garden or exploring artisanal techniques.

Even when it comes to food. Our kitchen isn't just the warm hub where individual elements come to life. It's also a beautiful metaphor: it's where transformation takes place, where produce from the vegetable garden is transformed by skilled hands into culinary meals. From freshly baked bread to fermented cabbage and pickled vegetables: every meal is an experience.

Together with a coach, you'll work on the core of the desired changes. Along the way, you'll discover the unique aspects of Parkland: an edible landscape that provides fresh ingredients for meals and activities. Free time invites you to learn from the seasons, explore artisanal processes, and experience the land as a metaphor for sustainable growth.

" Parkland is a paradise that sits like a jewel in the landscape

Craftsmanship is important to us

A Day at Parkland

The day consists of planned workshops and coaching sessions that provide insight into topics such as corporate structure, ownership, and transition. Free time is reserved for reflection and activities such as:

Picking and preparing ingredients for a communal meal.
Learn craft techniques, such as fermenting or cider making.
Take a look inside our workshop to see how craftsmanship and creativity come together.

Even in winter, Parkland offers inspiration: a snow-covered landscape, the tranquility of nature, and the maintenance of tools and preparations for a new season show how cyclical thinking contributes to resilience and balance – also in business

Bert Kramer / REMARK

The farm where Bert grew up gave him his hands-on mentality, there he learned to live with the seasons, but also that bigger is not always better.

He carried this farmer's mentality into his architectural design studies, where he ultimately understood how to apply the essence of craftsmanship to the design process. After graduating, Bert worked as an architectural designer, designing and building all sorts of small architectural structures and exhibition furniture. Simultaneously, he created edible parks before they became fashionable, sometimes organizing small-scale events in these parks where food and craftsmanship were the primary focus. These projects often aim to bring people together and encourage collaboration. Bert has worked independently his entire career; his greatest strength is his ability to think outside the box. His perseverance and inexhaustible energy have led to the realization of many projects!

Marie-José Hamers / HAMERSOPMAAT

Without exaggerating, you could say that Marie-José is a creative entrepreneur who only takes action when she's certain it can succeed. A trait she developed in a variety of ways from a young age. Her grandmother also taught Marie-José the art of baking, sewing, and handicrafts. Crafts she mastered to perfection and still uses in her current work. After graduating from art school, she designed and made wedding dresses and bags from residual materials like recycled plastic, but she can just as easily create an inflatable hotel room or a circus tent.

On her many projects at home and abroad she has learned to find locally available materials and how to create an inventive product with them.

During these projects she has gained a lot of experience in the financial aspects of entrepreneurship and she is ready to use these skills for Parkland

Together, Bert and MJ were often invited to participate in projects. In South Africa, Siberia, and Guatemala, they collaborated with local organizations and artisans on sustainable and simple solutions to local needs.

To support these projects, they occasionally organize small-scale festivals in which honest food, craftsmanship and connection are recurring themes.

Sustainability as a core value

At Parkland, sustainability is at the heart of everything. From the materials we use in our architecture and glamping domes to the way we manage our edible landscape, everything is imbued with respect for nature. We're happy to share this core value with companies and organizations that organize workshops with us. Our activities and programs demonstrate how practical, sustainable choices not only contribute to a better world but also inspire positive change within teams and organizations. Together, we're building a future that is both sustainable and meaningful.
